| Few years ago (in 2002) VW showed a one-liter model with a body made from carbon fiber. The car was a two-seat in line, one-cylinder, cigar-shaped with the huge promise of up to 282mpg. However, as a concept at the time VW put the model on hold until 2012. The main reason for that was the price of the main material that the car is made of – carbon fiber. We know this material is a trade mark of pure sports cars, where the prices are much higher.
