Audi has been working on a top of the line TT version for a while now, it’s called the TT RS. Just recently, the car was spotted undergoing some testing in the desert somewhere in the southwestern United States. This car is most probably setting its sights on the Porsche Cayman and the BMW 135i and will try to establish itself as the most dominant small sports car on the market.

The car will be powered by a five cylinder 2.5 liter engine, which will be boosted all the way up to 350 hp by using twin sequential turbochargers. Audi’s Quattro system will be standard, as well as a six gear manual transmission. The famous sequential gearbox system, DSG, will also be available as on option.

Expect the car to receive some pretty unique RS-type accessories, such as:

...unique large-diameter wheels, alloy-effect door mirrors, aggressive bumpers, RS badges on the brakes and sill extensions

Expect this range-topping version of the TT to show up at dealerships at the end of the year.
