The German tuning company Kicherer is ready with its project, the Mercedes-Benz SL63 Kicherer Evo edition. The team working on this project took the 6,2 litter 8 cylinder engine and put 40 extra “wild horses” in it, increasing the total number to 560, producing the huge 670 Nm of torque (almost 500 lb-ft). This decreases the car 0-60 mph acceleration time with 0.3 seconds, the car now makes this run in 4.3 seconds. The top speed is 320 km/h (almost 200 mph).

A big part of what makes a real tuning car is the monster roar that comes from behind, the exhaust  note is most of the time half the pleasure for the dirver of such beasts. The Kicherer engineers know this very well and they have worked hard to cover this point, modifying the exhaust system in order to achieve a deeper sound. And they have succeeded in this undertaking too, the growl produced by the vehicle strengthens and perfectly complements its aggressive look.

As far as the exterior, the Kicherer team didn’t spare any carbon fiber material. It has been used extensively on the front and the back of the car. There is also a diffuser that is taking care of any air passing under the car especially at higher speeds, giving additional cohesion to the tarmac. The car sists on huge 20 inch RS-1 aluminum wheels. The side mirrors are made from carbon fibre as well.

The cockpit of the car has Formula 1 steering wheel with gearshift paddles behind it. Carbon fiber is also used on other interior elements as well.

The starting price for this package will be 32 000 U.S. dollars and might easily become more expensive.
